Our wet rooms do not leak :
Care needs to be taken that you choose your wet room installer wisely.
Wet rooms do not leak if they are installed correctly. All walls and joints are totally waterproofed and sealed using water resistant / water proof boards and tanking systems.
Tanking systems are designed to be used on many backgrounds,such as plaster,plasterboard,tile backer boards,render and plywood.
Ideally the wall areas that will be subject to moisture will be fully water proofed. We also recommend water proofing the whole floor area. All wall to floor joints and all internal corners are also taped with water proof tape and sealed.
Especially in wet rooms water has a way of finding it's way through any weak points. Fully tanking and waterproofing avoids this problem.
